Synopsis.
“Pretty much every country in the world faces the challenge of balancing a reduction
in CO2 emissions, ensuring a reliable and safe supplies of electricity and energy in general
for decades to come, and also make sure that the price of that energy is affordable”.
Adrian Bull, Westinghouse.
After 50 years of nuclear civil operation and the imminent closure of the old Magnox
nuclear power stations, the UK has approved plans to build ten new nuclear sites.
This documentary film questions whether this form of producing electricity is the best
way forward in the UK, which can be applied to any country in the world now that nuclear
is globally being considered again as a serious alternative to tackle climate change.
